v1.32.5 Released (September 11, 2012 01:57 PM EDT)

Changes

  • Allow sorting of customers by creation date in UI and API using the direction parameter
  • Added Aruba as a country and AA/AE/AP as US States (to support APO/FPO/DPO addresses)

Details

Customer Ordering

You can use the direction parameter to control the ordering of the customer listings to retrieve them by creation date, either asc or desc.  For example:

GET /customers?direction=desc

It defaults to desc in the UI but to asc in the API.

APO/FPO/DPO Addresses

Chargify APO Addresses

We actually didn't plan this, but its quite appropriate:  we've added support for entering shipping addresses for American military bases on this Patriot Day.  You'll find 3 new state codes for any US shipping address: AA (Armed forces Americas), AE (Armed Forces Europe), and AP (Armed Forces Pacific).

Aruba Addresses

We also added support today for Aruba addresses.  Since Aruba doesn't have official subdivisions/states, there's one quirk where you may need to select "NA - Not Applicable" from the state dropdown in order to make the gateways happy.  We've been considering a few alternatives, but if you have any suggestions we'd love to hear them.

Sweet goodness, how about rolling out some of the things we've been asking about for ages instead of the fluff that's been coming out this year.

Like limits on coupon usage count and retrieving usage for a subscription.

To be fair to the Chargify team Tim, this is one of the requests that was asked for ages ago. And as Lance (their CEO) pointed out recently, their lead developer is transitioning to a role aimed at facilitating more such requests from customers.

BTW, we're crossing our fingers for some updates to the coupon system soon too, lest we need to write more code ourselves. ;)
