Looks like using the hosted page there is no confirmation or updating the amount for the user on our sign up flow at http://ethn.io - is there a way, once they have entered the coupon, to display an updated total, or even take them to a custom page to show how much they are about to pay and how much they'll be billed monthly?

I had the same question about coupons. I set up a subscription plan. 1 month free trial, $50 per month thereafter. I created a 30% off coupon.

I would like the coupon to apply to the entire subscription. So effectively, it should be 1 month free trial, $35 per month thereafter. However, when I tested the page, the 30% off would apply only to the trial which was $0 anyways, and nothing would change in the $50 per month.

    Am I doing something wrong?

Nate: we added a "Validate Coupon" button recently

Samir: check the coupon settings.  You will either need to turn on coupon recurring, or select the option to have the coupon apply at the first renewal after the free trial.

I need to add two coupons when a subscription is created.  The hosted page only lets me use one coupon.  How do I add another coupon code?

Kia, we currently only support one coupon at a time.

I too would like to do multiple coupons, ideally, but understand its not supported. Is there a clear event from the web hooks that I could trigger off of to auto-update the subscription with a new coupon when the first one expires? For example, will the 'subscription' object no longer have the coupon field filled in once that coupon has ended its life (such as a coupon that only works for 3 months - which is different than the coupon expiration date)?

If so, I could programmatically update the subscription with the "phase 2" coupon....

We have a trial period of 14 days and I was trying to make a coupon show the discounted price.   I followed your suggestion above and made it apply at the first renewal.  I clicked on Validate Coupon and it updated the amount under the Purchase Summary - which is great.   However, in the Billing Information section where you enter the coupon code and can click on Validate Coupon,  it says "Coupon valid.  Coupon X resulted in savings of $0.00".    Any way we can get the 0.00 to show the discount OR any way we can get it to just say "Coupon Valid" and get rid of the sentence that is incorrect?  Thanks  in advance for your help.

How can I manage coupons that only apply to new customers? It looks to me like any coupon code that is valid at the moment is valid for anyone who knows the coupon code.

We have it so a coupon can be applied for a new subscription, but the self-service page has no place for a coupon code to be applied once you are a customer.    Would allowing an existing customer to use a coupon for a recurring charge require creating a page to do so with the API?

    Hi There,

Im trying to create a coupon that can be applied by our trial users at the time they want to subscribe. The problem is it appears that if a user clicks subscribe to the public sign up page chargify doesn't automatically know which user has clicked through therefore a instead of updating the trial user account in chargify it would appear its creating a new one. The user also has to re enter ALL of their information for a second time.

Am I missing a step here which can make this easier?
